- Radioactive work: The total exhaust feature makes them safe for experiments involving radioactive substances, which could otherwise be drawn back into the room in other cabinet types.
- No recirculation: The lack of recirculation is a key feature, meaning any air that passes over the work surface is immediately exhausted, ensuring a higher level of safety for both the user and the environment.
- External exhaust: They require an external blower and exhaust system to function properly, as they are not a self-contained unit like other types of BSCs.
